[Event] “The Do-Over” @ DeKalb Market: Sunday, 5.27.12

We were so excited when we heard that this West Coast party has landed in NYC. The Do-Over, the infamous LA-based parties, come to Brooklyn this weekend, a perfect way to start summer.

Now if you’re unfamiliar, these legendary parties are a summer staple over in Cali. What makes them so special is that they are made to simulate the best backyard throw down you have ever been to. As New Yorkers, there is nothing we like more than to party like we’re in the ‘burbs and not actually have to live there. So expect short shorts, stiff drinks, heavy beats, and if you’re lucky…the beginnings of a fun summer romance! Entry is free with RSVP.

Check out the video below to get a taste of the scene. See you on the dancefloor savages!

Where: DeKalb Market @ 138 Willoughby St, Brooklyn

When: Sunday, 5.27.12

Doors: 2pm-10pm

[FREE MIXTAPE] Meek Mill – Dreamchasers 2

The internet has been abuzz with Meek Mill chatter, a hardy feat considering the Philadelphia-born MC has yet to drop a full studio album. But with a signed deal from “The Boss” Rick Ross, and aligning himself with the hottest in the hip hop game, Meek Mill’s rhymes have broken through the noise to make a real big impact. Not only is the buzz on the internet but it’s also the buzz on the streets, as demonstrated by one of my previous EAR HUSTIN’ posts.

Dreamchasers 2, features an impressive roster including: Wale, Rick Ross, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, Mac Miller, and Drake. Be sure to get on this mixtape and stream here or download at the link below.

HOT JOINTS to be on the lookout for:

-> “Burn” – Feat. Big Sean

-> “House Party Remix” – Feat. Fabolous, Wale, Mac Miller
